I went to John Naisbitt’s speech with婉淇. Thanks her for inviting me to this educational activity. It was in the Taipei international convention center. It was my first time to go there. There are over 3000 people got together to listen to Mr. Naisbitt’s speech. And you can see how famous he is. (Although I didn’t know him before…)
There was a couch on the podium. And he sat on it and talked. But we sat too far away from him. I couldn’t see his face very clearly.
He came to Taiwan for his new book. And his speech is related to future trend. It wasn’t a new topic. But he did really give me some new ideas. For example, he said trend doesn’t means too far ahead of people; if you are a leader of a march, you can’t walk too fast and far away in front of your march, or people will think you’re not in this march. You should be with your march team and lead them. Yeah, if someone invent mp3 10 years ago and promote it, I think no one will buy it. Another thing is about BRICs, Mr. Kao asked. He said except China, the rest three are not as good as we expect. Because they still have a lot of domestic problems. In the future, Asia, especially East Asia, will play more and more important role in the world.
But because I stayed up last night, I was sleepy that day; I didn’t catch all of his point. Maybe I will watch the rebroadcast again to have a whole view of his speech.
